Sapphire Dreams Collection

Sapphire Dreams is the collection I chose for my Senior Project, the one where I make the patterns and actually produce the garments to showcase at Portfolio Show. For our technical and production classes we only had to choose 5 or 6 looks to produce, which was about 10-12 garments. I chose the easiest ones to do, because 11 weeks is not a lot of time to make the patterns and samples for technical and another 11 weeks is not a lot of time to actually make them all. I still want to finish the rest of them, so I’ll probably add them into my New Wardrobe Series later in the year or early next year.
Jiana, a friend and former classmate, named this collection for me. If you read about my Simply Lush collection you know that I think I’m terrible at naming things, so I asked her to do it, and I really liked what she came up with. Sapphire Dreams is a collection that I started with a floral print cotton sateen fabric. Then I designed the collection around the colors in the print. I bought all my fabric for this collection from Mood Fabrics.
I was thinking about which looks were my favorite and honestly half of them are my favorite. I can’t wait to start on the New Wardrobe Series and get these looks finished! I desperatly want to wear that trench coat! I’m also excited to move to a colder climate so I can actually get to wear coats and jackets more often.
I’m excited to wear the bomer jacket this Fall/Winter, it’s lined with the blue floral fabric and it has pockets!
A quick shout out to my photographer Chari! She’s awesome! Thank you for all the work you do for me! Check out her website here.
Tell me: Which is your favorite look? Why?
I love pretty much all of these!! So hard to pick just one! But I especially LOVE the skirt that is like overalls! One of my favorites!
